23/10/02: Its all gone down hill for my Runner since the car came along. She had her last outing on the 5th of Oct for the rally in Dublin. After that a friend of mine agreed to buy her in a few weeks but I told him he could use it till then as otherwise it wouldn't be getting any use. The same day he took her home he was driven off the road by a car which was driving on the wrong side of the road!! The car driver didn't stop! My friend spent some time in hospital but is now ok and my Runner now sits in his garden with severe bodywork damage on one side. Because the road was rough the panels have actually been smashed as well as the exhaust being badly damaged. The frame and everything mechanical seem ok but its going to be a hefty repair bill! :(

04/10/02: Well its finally happened. The Runners has been locked up in the back of the garage and my new wheels are the Corsa you see below. The Runner will be out tomorrow, though, for the cruise for the coombe rally tomorrow in Dublin. This, sadly may be my Runners last public outing in my hands. As some of you will know the insurance prices in Ireland are about 4 times the next highest in Europe and it doesn'e look as if finances are going to allow me keep the Runner. :-( Still, looking forward to tomorrow as I enjoyed last years outing.

11/09/02: Looks like I'm finally getting a car. A local dealer has sourced a Corsa with the spec I wanted so now I've 'just' to organise my insurance. A silver, 99, 3 door Corsa sport with electric everything, CD player, central locking etc etc.. will be my new toy but don't worry, the Runner isn't going anywhere. It will probably last longer though because it won't be getting the high milage it is now.

A few weeks ago Bikeworld got some new EMGO airfilters in and they looked pretty good, The foam covered in silver meshing and a chrome end cap. I had no interest in changing my Malossi filter untill my mate Rob got one for his 125 runner. It fitted straight onto the Standard Runner carb and using the same size jets as the Malossi filter it ran the same-but was much quieter! So I decided to get oneto keep the neigbours happy. I'll write a report in the products section as soon as I have a few miles up on it.

Jasscooters, www.jasscooters.co.uk have finally released their new carbon air scoop and fly screen for the Runner. The quality is superior to other carbon item on  the market and the price is a little cheaper too. They have more item in development so keep an eye out for more.
